Local bee-keeper visited 5th and 6th class
Today was another great day at St Michael’s N.S.! We raised €355.50 for our school. We are hoping to use this money to help drain our pitch so that we can use it during the colder months. 5th and 6th were fantastic role models for the school and not only did they run it but they also supported younger students with their purchases.
Well done to 5th and 6th Class who used ‘Adobe Spark’ to create a whole class presentation on their current history topic! Click the link to see their great work!
Well done to all the students in St Michael’s NS who had a very exciting science show with Declan Holmes of Science Ireland. They got to learn the engineering behind airplanes by making sweets hover in mid-air. They enjoyed launching rockets and helicopters. They made waves and explored the science behind musical instruments such as straw kazoos. Definitely some future scientists here!
We have been awarded the Five Star flag for GAA, the Discovery Primary Science Plaque for science and the Active School Flag this year! Well done to all involved!
November 29th, Tara from Midlands Radio 3 came out to our school and interviewed the children. Anna Rami spoke on the radio and represented St. Michael’s. We are very proud of you Anna.
The children got to speak with Tara about Christmas routines! So much excitement!!!
