November 29th, Tara from Midlands Radio 3 came out to our school and interviewed the children. Anna Rami spoke on the radio and represented St. Michael’s. We are very proud of you Anna.

The children from 3rd and 4th class took part in a Gaelic football blitz today in Kilbeggan. They all had fun!
On Tuesday October 22nd 2018 we had a facilitator from Agri kids to the school who gave the children a talk on Farm Safety. The children really enjoyed this visit. This particular talk is sponsored by Zurich so was free of charge.
Hard luck to the football team who were beaten today. We’ll keep going!

Cumman na mBunscoile Football
School team training every Tuesday straight after school until 3.15pm. Gum shields obligatory. Children will be transported to all away games by bus. Contribution will be payable. School will cover balance.
All children will take part in GAA football skills each Friday (unless otherwise notified) until Christmas. Gum shields obligatory.
The tooth-fairy/dental nurse visited the school on Monday 24th September. It was received well by all children.
Bernie and her team of head-lice experts will visit on Thursday October 4th. €5 per child to be sent in with name of child and their parent’s contact number.
Maths week will take place from October 13th-21st. Check out www.mathsweek.ie for interesting activities that can be done at home.
All families should have received their photos pack(s). If you wish to purchase items from County photos please return order form in envelope supplied with exact money to the office by next Wednesday 17th at the latest. There is no obligation to purchase.

We have been awarded our second Plaque of STEM Excellence for 2017/2018, two years in a row for all the hard work being done in Science and Maths in our school. Judges were particularly impressed with the range of activities carried out by all class levels.
